SHOP LOCAL — HOLIDAY LOCAL!
Every year, the Katonah Chamber of Commerce organizes and pays for the lights that make our town sparkle during the holiday season. This includes the big tree lighting at St. Luke's, the menorah lighting, and the lights on trees along Katonah Avenue and The Parkway.
This year, we are aksing for the community's help to make sure we can afford to do it all!
The bill for the holiday season is steep — we pay for the lights, the labor to string those lights, help from the police and highway department to organize the tree lighting event, and of the course the electricity bill to keep the lights on for the whole season.
This year, we need to replace many of our light strings and we need to update the electrical outlets and cords.
Can you help?
If we all pool together with gifts from $5 to $50 to (dare to dream it?) $500 we can not only make this year the brightest holiday season in memory, but we can build a foundation for a successful holiday season for many years to come.
