Revert: Documentary

Hi my name's Lauren Gillespie and I am directing and producing my own documentary this year on a very current subject. A girl that I grew up with, went to school with and have the same interests has recently reverted to Islam. We went to a catholic school for primary and secondary school so always had a religous influence but of a different religion. Shana Kiely's story has caught not only my eye but also my heart because she is extremely brave for revealing her new found religion because of the way the world views it right now. This isn't just a documentary about Shana's story, this is being made for a purpose, for people to understand the religion.It's all going to be filmed in Luton and Dunstable so the majority of the money will be going towards travel and food for my lovely crew and hopefully will have enough to buy Shana some kind of  thank you gift for her time. I will be looking into her past life, present life and how she is settling into her new life and where her religion will take her. I hope to enter Shana's story into documentary and short film festivals for even more distribution but mainly in Luton.  Production will be finished next year by the end of April.
