The aim of this funding page is two fold:
1: To raise money for the Little Princess Trust, to whom I will be donating my hair to be made into a wig for children who have lost their own
2: To raise money for a big project I've been working on with two very good friends of mine. This will involve:
- driving 10,000km across Europe, Russia and Mongolia in an ambulance in order to donate it to the Mongolian emergency services
- to teach English to healthcare professionals in Khan Uul hospital, Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, to help them to access up-to-date medical literature, apply to international funding bodies and gain opportunities which may be closed to those without a level of written and spoken English.
The first £100 we raise will go towards the Princess Trust, anything above that will go towards our project. If you specifically want to fund one aim but not the other, then you can do so by specifying in your donation, regardless of the £100 threshold - it's your donation afterall! Please visit the Little Princess Trust website to see how your donation will be used by the charity. Money raised through this funding page towards the ambulance project will help to fuel the ambulance as we cross the world, and to keep it in great working order so that it can be put to good use in Mongolia. In the past, ambulances have been repurposed as mobile maternity units to great benefit, and we hope that our ambulance (nicknamed Ula) will support a similarly excellent cause.
