Investing in Nepali Youth

Dear Friends,

On behalf of Nepali Team of the Global Network for Sustainable Development (GNSD) we kindly ask your financial support for our educational project in Nepal.

GNSD was launched in Kathmandu on November of 2014. The project initially began at Arizona State University, but in 2017, was registered in Arizona as an acting global NGO, and received 509 (a) (2) status.

The mission of GNSD is to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by educating youth about principles of environmental and economic sustainability, by promoting the idea of Global Citizenship, and by involving them in active realization of these goals. We intend to do this by creating Sustainability Clubs for Peace and Peace for Sustainability Clubs in schools throughout Nepal. These clubs will involve their members in community projects addressing sustainable development, and practices of non-violent conflict resolution.

We are in the process of writing grant proposals that will allow us to implement this project, however we are currently in need of seed money to progress with our efforts. With your help, we can continue with our mission by creating new clubs, organize necessary training for teachers and students, provide internship opportunities for international students. Observing enthusiasm of students who are involved in the project, we can predict that it will have a big impact both on participants, and on the community at large.
