I'm Johnae, a 27 year-old 2011 USF alumnus living in Largo, Florida. In 2013 I made a decision to change my life for the better. I lost approximately 50 pounds through diet and exercise.

But I wasn't done yet!

Throughout my journey yoga helped me maintain my weight loss, clear my mind, and challenge my body. Yoga also helped me discover a painless mass in my thigh in 2014.

After months of doctor's appointments and scans, I had surgery to remove a plum-sized unknown mass from the groin area of my leg on October 14.

And on October 28, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.

I never imagined my life to change so dramatically in such a short span of time. I went from saving to move out of my dad's house (that is currently under foreclosure) to scrambling for answers and finances to cover my medical expenses. Not to mention grasping the fact that I'm "sick" when I'm in the best shape I've been in my adult life.

I have my life to live, more weight to lose, and a career to take on. Ain't nobody got time for cancer!

I need help and any contribution would mean the world to me. I'm in the process of being staged. I haven't met my $3,300 out-of-cost maximum this year and once I do meet it, it'll be 2015 and I'll have to meet another one that's increased to $4,000.

I start treatment the second week of November. I'm unsure how many cycles of chemotherapy I'll undergo or if radiation will also be needed. Still awaiting answers but I'm hopeful and plan to kick cancer's ass.

Thank you for your support and cheering me on. I need to nip cancer in the bud so I can run my fourth 5K with my best friend and sister (and work my way up to a half marathon).
