Girls on the Run—inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. It’s a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd to 8th grade.
They work with girls twice each week during a ten week session in the fall and in the spring. They celebrate the completion of the program with a 5K run, “Happiest Run Around Town” which we’re helping raise money for! They need funding to purchase program supplies such as running journals, curriculum supplies, t-shirts, 5K medals and healthy snacks for each of the 20 sessions each season.
The girls prepare emotionally and physically for the race and their participation illustrates confidence through accomplishment. The 5K will be held on December 13th!
