My name is Jenevieve Francis. My friends call me "V" and I'm 18 years old. At 6:30pm on Sunday, December 27 2015....I was walking home from work. I was waiting to cross the road, when the road was clear I began jogging across. I heard the sound of a vehicle and turned to look when I was hit by an SUV driving around 35/40mph (speed limit was 25). I was unconscious for a minute or so, when I came to I was laying on the pavement unable to move. An ambulance took me to the ER and took X-rays and other tests including CT scans. I found out I had multiple breaks in different parts of my pelvis and right hip, I broke a bone in my spine, and I have a moderate concussion which I needed to get 6 staples in the back of my head for. As of now my doctors are leaning away from surgery. I'm from NewYork and Pennsylvania, I just moved to Utah two weeks ago to live out my dreams as a ski instructor at DeerValleyResort and attend college at the UOU for Biology. My father wants to come visit me but he doesn't have the money for a plane ticket and all of my other relatives live out east also. My insurance won't cover me to get in-home care nor will it cover some of the rest of my medical bills. And as a ski instructor I don't have a job anymore of course, due to the seriousness of my injuries. If you would be willing to donate I'd be beyond grateful.
