Get Me to Fitbloggin15!
Have you heard of Fitbloggin? No? The website says it's a conference "For bloggers interested in fitness, wellness, good food and a healthy lifestyle. Two days of education, networking, friendship and fun."
But here's the thing. It's not *just* the above. It's like meeting up with 200 of your best friends that you haven't seen for a year (in my case 2 years). The conference is in Denver and I am an American girl living in the Netherlands. The price of the flight is so outrageous that I would have to skip it again this year (last year I didn't go for the exact same reason but then set money aside for 2015). I had budgeted EUR 700 for the flight and EUR 300 to go further to see my family in Albuquerque. Unfortunately by the time my vacation was approved the price has gone up to EUR1000. This means I won't have enough to go to see my family. It's a long enough trip and to go to Denver and not go see my family would just not feel right to me. I am considering cancelling all together.
But here's where you can help. I would just need the difference in the budget vs the price of the flight. I'm giving a EUR 200 buffer. Anything over the difference of my flight will go to the charity that I run for here in the Netherlands, the National Epilepsy Fund (http://detegenaanval.nl/actie/165).
And a bonus? For every $1 / EUR1 I will hug a person at fitbloggin. Want to go to Fitbloggin and can't make it yourself? A hug in honor of you! Of course this will be documented via instagram and twitter during the conference!
I would be so grateful for your help. Maybe to some it sounds silly but my Fitbloggin friends have been such a source of inspiration and support to me and it would be so amazing to get to go this year.
