Get Nate Walking

Nate is a sweet young boy of two and a half... he likes all the same things other little boys likes, he enjoys the outdoors, playing with this friends, cuddling his Mama, and making a mess. Nat is also a young boy who is living with a undiagnosed neurological issue.
An MRI showed that he has Cerebellar Atrophy . This diagnoses means that his cerebellum is smaller than it's supposed to be. The cerebellum in the brain controls balance, motor skills and speech , all the things Nate struggles with. He currently sees a physio therapist, speech therapist, and is starting with an occupational therapist at the end of the month.
Earlier this year he got the opportunity for the first time to walk on his own... can you imagine? Those first steps of freedom?! He was given a loaner walker for the very first time... and after a little trial and error he got the hang of it and he started to make some amazing progress walking on his own. Sadly, it had to be returned.
The next walker that came available for him to borrow was the same version but a size down and it was just too small....and he was unable to use it. Now, with no walker at all, Nate keeps asking his Mom to go for "my walk".
Currently there is a long wait time for funding for a child of this age and this diagnoses. Once funding is approved, there is also a wait time for the money to come through for an actual walker and other equipment he needs. Nate may not qualify until he turns 3 in June.... which means he may not be back walking until this summer.
The goal of this gofundme campaign to to get Nate walking, and get him walking as soon as possible. No child should have to wait to get outside with his friends, walk to the park, or get muddy in the driveway.
If the goal is exceeded........Beyond a walker, Nate may also require out of province medical testing that might not be fully covered as well as their current vehicle isn't large enough to accommodate a walker and is currently dying a slow death. They are currently in desperate need of a new SUV sized vehicle to accommodate the walker comfortably and safely in the back!
