I was born with a cranial AVM and I'm raising funds to go towards my medical treatments because not everything is covered by insurance!
ABOUT MY CONDITION
I am currently living with my sister Jenn - her couch is my bedroom. I try to do anything that I can to save money when I have some income coming in, which is rare (keep in mind that I have to pay $700 to Cobra for medical insurance from my previous job, $270 for car insurance, a $65 a month cell phone bill, and let's not forget that I need money for basic neccesities such as food, gas, tolls, metro-cards for the train to my doctor appointents at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell, getting laundry done, as well as other things that you don't think about such as deoderant, shampoo, toilet paper, cleaning supplies.... the list goes on and on.
My clothes are EVERYWHERE in my sister's apartment because there is no room for anything, but little by little when I feel good, I try to clean up/organize, donate what I cannot sell, and list any sellable items on Poshmark (which has only netted me about $50 in the past year).
Please help me get my life back together by donating anything you can - whether that's $5, $20, $40, $100, etc. If we all work together the money can quickly add up. We raised about $4,000 last year prior to my first surgery/procedure, but that money was spent on medical services and paying for my health insurance.
If you cannot afford to donate, but have clothes, electronics, shoes, or anything sellable (like new or new condition for clothes and shoes) that you'd like to donate to me so that I can sell please contact me (or you can contact Jenn at [email redacted]).
