This GoFundMe campaign has been created to cover medical appointments, tests, and bloodwork ordered by Tasha's rheumatologist.
Tasha is my 26 year old daughter. She and husband Josh have been married for 5 years. They have two small dogs, but no living children. Though she was born relatively healthy, she has struggled with medical issues since kindergarten. Tasha did not let that keep her from an active school & social life, even sporting a "boot" in marching band.
However, her late teens and early to mid-twenties (best time of your life) has been challenging, to say the least. She has excruciating pain with endometriosis, which (despite an amazing doctor) has been unsuccessfully managed due to lack of health coverage. To compound this, she has been diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome, hypothyroidism, migraines, depression, carpal tunnel, pinched ulnar nerve, pleurisy, arthritis, and other minor and chronic health concerns. Tasha experiences pain 100% of the time, blocking activity about 85% of her week, leaving her unable to maintain employment. If you are familiar with Christine Miserandino's Spoon Theory, it is obvious that Tasha has few spoons to work with.
She is not eligible for the new "ObamaCare" and is awaiting her Social Security Disability hearing, after being denied three times. Josh does not have health benefits. Please, help a young woman who does all she can to help herself each day.
