Dyllan, Danielle, Delores & I need help to create smiles we can all be proud of!
Our Goal is $45,000 At This Time To Cover Cost of Treatment & AnyTrasnportation Lodging & Meals Required! In the event this amount increases or decreases I will provide updates immediately.
My children & I are affected by a rare genetic condition known as Ectodermal Dysplasia: (AEC) Ankyloblepharon Ectodermal Defects Cleft Lip/Palate Syndrome. This condition affects our teeth hair skin nails sweat glands & more. Currently Dyllan (22 yrs) has no teeth, Danielle (21 yrs) has 18 atypical teeth that need surgically removed due to lack of enamel & adequate dentition & Delores (14 yrs) has no teeth. I am 43 yrs old w no natural teeth. I've had the same upper Denture since I was 15 yrs old. Needless to say I at very least need a new upper Denture & lower attached denture. I already have 3 dental implants on bottom (unsure at this time if any modifications need made to the implants themselves). My children all require dentures & or dental implants & the surgeries & sedation involved to have the implants placed (bone graphs jaw manipulation additional palate repairs etc). The implants are needed in addition to dentures b/c the gums & teeth are like soil & roots. Without roots, the soil erodes. Dental implants act as an artificial root within the gum to prevent the erosion of the jaw bone which is typical in Ecotdermal Dysplasias.
Dyllan Danielle & Delores have Illinois Medicaid as their Medical Provider. I have Medicare & Illinois Medicaid. Our Physicians submitted letters of medical necessity to Medicaid for dentures & dental implants & unfortunately Medicaid (& Medicare) will not cover the dental care we require. Due to being on a fixed income & our debt to income ratio we do not qualify for a loan to cover these expenses.
Dyllan will require sedation for his care due to Epilepsy, Generalized Anxiety & being on the Autism Spectrum. We'll have to travel from Wood River to Chicago to the University of Chicago for his care.
The projected cost for Dyllan's treatment plan include but are NOT LIMITED to the following:

$1200 x 10: Implants ($12,000)
$600 x 10: Nonstandard Posts ($6,000)
$18,225 NOT INCLUDING Clinic & Anestesia Charges, Transportation, Lodging & Meals for Dyllan & Myself. At this time, Dyllan prefers his sister's & I go first. To accommodate this, I've decreased our goal by $20,000. Once he begins his process, I'll edit & update the goal amount.
Danielle requires a 3D image to show her bone structure & measurements for the implant process. She has to have 18 teeth surgically removed.
We'll travel from Wood River to the University of Chicago in Chicago.
