I have always been a huge nerd. I love to learn. Nothing will stop me from learning. My parents encouraged my thirst for knowledge. From home science experiments, to games involving nothing but questions, I was raised to be inquisitive, to want to know things.
I went through elementary school, middle school, high school, always as that kid who couldn't get enough, couldn't read enough, couldn't know enough.
In May 2014, I completed one leg of my education journey. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bryn Athyn College. It was in college that my love for learning was focused and nurtured into, not just a need to know, but a need to spread what I know. I was surrounded by the most wonderful people who pushed me more than I have ever been pushed.
Now, I am seeking the chance to push myself even further. Through all of my career paths growing up, one thing never changed. I always wanted to be "Doctor Alt."
To fulfill this wish, there is some more schooling in my future.
I turn to the communities that have helped me so much in the past to help me just one step more.
I have applied to several graduate schools, both in the Philadelphia area and abroad, in Scotland, where my true passion for Scottish history can be cultured.
But, I am gravely worried about the costs incurred by the tuitions, books, even travel to whichever program I finally decide on. Luckily, they are all within the same price range!
With your help, I can realize my oldest dream.
