The Filarca Fun Run is a major fundraiser for Dove Hill Elementary School in San Jose. Money raised through the Fun Run is used by Dove Hill teachers to buy much needed classroom supplies and help with the cost of field trips.
The kids at Dove Hill get family and friends to pledge a certain amount and then run/walk for about an hour around the school track. :) They are trying to raise $10,000 this year.
The Fun Run is named in memory of my sister Cyndy Filarca who taught many years at Dove Hill. It was an annual event which was particularly close to her heart.
I'd love it if you'd make a donation to Dove Hill School in her honor. You can do so here on GoFundMe. Please note that this website does take 5% in order to manage this process (it's okay, everyone's gotta make a living!)
