One of our closest friends is sadly suffering from Secondary Liver cancer, and unfortunately, this is not a cancer that can be cured. She has been having various types of Chemotherapy for the last 18 months, with the aim to find the most suitable one which will delay any further growth of the Tumours. This Treatment is all the NHS can offer at present.

There is, however, another treatment available called SIRT, (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy). The Goals of this Treatment are to;
* Increase the time to progression
* Extend overall survival
* Potentially downsize or downstage Tumours for Liver resection, ablation, or transplantation
* Provide palliation of symptoms
The treatment is given by a series of injections, directly into the tumours in the Liver.
Unfortunately, this is not available to her on the NHS, so for Jules to have this treatment she would have to fund it herself at a cost of £25,000 per injection!

Jules is an amazing 48 year old Lady, she is a Wife and Mom of 4 lovely Sons, and a wonderful Friend to many people. She is a fantastic lady who, for many years, has run local Fitness Classes for her Community and still tirelessly runs events to raise money for Local and National Charities.
She is so full of life and has so much to offer to her Family and Friends. We are not prepared to give up on her. We would love to give her the opportunity to get the SIRT injections in the hope of keeping her with us and her Family for years to come.
So a group of her close friends are in the process of arranging a series of fundraising events to see how much we can raise to help her to get this Treatment.
