Hey there!
My name is Joseph Cornwall and I am a student at Waukesha North High School. I have been involved with musical performance for five years and I am planning on becoming a music educator in my future. I am currently involved with my school’s Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, Color Guard, Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra, Concert Choir, and Chambers Choir (which is an auditioned group). I want to expand my knowledge of musical performance by joining a drum and bugle corps in the mellophone section.
In the large world of music, there is a performance venue called drum and bugle corps. Though its roots are planted in the patriotic tradition of military musical units, the music activity has changed over the years and has evolved into the most advanced outdoor music activity in the world. There are only 23 of such performing groups in the world. One of the most celebrated corps is called Pioneer. Pioneer is a non-profit youth development organization based in Milwaukee, WI, and through the medium of the performing arts, is committed to supporting adolescent achievement towards the pursuit of excellence in all areas of their lives. Pioneer prepares and inspires young adults to serve as leaders and role models for their peers by maintaining a strong emphasis on instilling positive leadership traits and principles, the development of individual moral character, goal setting and teaching the importance of responsibility and maintaining a strong work ethic.
This year, I now have to take on the responsibility of raising $2,800. This cost breaks down into tuition, food, housing, transportation, and small miscellaneous costs. I am seeking donations for either $15, $25, $50, or more, but even $5 will help greatly. I would be very appreciative towards any amount that would help me towards my goal, and all sponsorships are ta
