Approximately three (3) years ago, Ralph III was diagnosed with liver cancer and has undergone a series of life saving medical procedures to restore his health.

Ralph and his wife are the proud parents of three promising college students.  As you can imagine, the insurmountable medical expenses associated with extended cancer treatment has created a serious financial challenge for this family.

The Abernathy family was on the front line in the fight for Civil and Human Rights and endured many personal sacrifices to secure equal access to opportunities for everyone.

While we can never repay the debt that is owed to this family and the countless individuals who contributed to the success of the Civil Rights Movement, we can show our gratitude by helping financially in their time of need.
