Dear Friends:
Some months ago I made an appointment to see the doctor as i had not been feeling well for several months prior, I was drained and my body hurt and just I thought i had been overworking my self and just needed some medicine to feel better, after some tests I got a piece of news I never thought I would hear, it turns out I had a malignant tumor and it was cancer.
For the past 4 months i have been dealing with this new reality, fortunately with my family holding my hand through the rough times. I already had one of three surgeries that have to take place in the next 5 months. The next one will take place in a week to remove the big tumor whom i named "Monster Baby" cause it looks like a baby bump! Its a pretty invasive surgery, so i will be incapacitated for a some months and wont be able to work during this time.
I started informing some of my close friends about this piece of news until recently and i have received overwhelming amounts of love and support from them. I want to use this opportunity to thank My father my tower of strength who held my hand 24/7, my sister Jenny and her Husband Michael who lovingly looked after me when i couldn't and was nothing short of amazing and Misty The psychic dog. Yury Vargas my brother from another mother and his wife Monica Bernal who have taken care of me when i was on my own. My dear Fernando Sanchez & Gabriela Cocco-Sanchez, Linda Crespo De Leon who came to see me from L.A & last but not least My dear friend Alicia Zertuche who has been my cheerleader though this, and last week while working the LAMC even made sure i was eating all the right things :) while hustling to all her meetings.. superwoman!! Well she just started this Gofundme campaign to help me keep my head above water while I recuperate and get my self back together Thank You Ali!!.

Visiting New York and being hand held by Yuzzy Acosta is a story many of us can relate to. Several weeks ago, I called to catch up and she told me about her medical condition. Some of her close friends have known about some of her medical issues from the past but I never thought I'd hear her say the "C" word to describe her illness this time around.
Yuzzy has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. As you all know, she's a freelancer surviving in NYC and I'd like to ask for you to help her on her road to recovery. Anything you are able to contribute to help cover some of her medical bills and basic expenses (apt rent, food, bills..etc) will go a long way. When you think of her, please send her your love and healing energy.
