Help with Relocation & other costs

Hi, my name is Fran Parker. I am a small business owner, Fran's Computer Services. I started my business part-time in August 1997. In 2000 we went full-time in the Hampton Roads/Tidewater and surrounding areas doing technical support, tutoring, design/host websites, etc.

My whole life changed December 3, 2014 when I lost my hubby/soul mate, Jim Radcliffe. His Memorial was on December 18, 2014. I put his Memorial, Obit, video of the Memorial, photo galleries, stories from Jim's youth and our life (more are coming but I just couldn't do any more for a while) up on the his vanity domain: JimRadcliffe.com

I found it too hard to be at our home in Dendron, VA with Jim gone, at least for now. I miss him so much and the grief overwhelming.

I came to visit my sister in Cana, VA and fell in love with the mountains here in the Cana, VA/Mount Airy, NC areas.

Our Mother is also not well and after losing our Dad in 2005, and now Jim, I just do not want to be too far from where my Mother is staying with my sister.

But that means I really need a job here, because it takes too long to build my business again to be a full time position quickly enough.

Jim and I used to travel to the Blue Ridge every year until he got bit by the Lyme Disease tick in 2007. It feels so much like home in the mountains, but still allows enough distance from the pain and grief.

My sister and brother in law have been absolutely wonderful. I have been staying with them and helping out with Mother. But I need a place of my own close by and they really need their guest room back.

I am currently looking for a home nearby here in Virginia, or Mount Airy, NC failing that, and to maybe slowly build my business here in time. I will need to get a 1 BR/1BA place that allows a puppy (Chloe is a 4 week old Shitzu and will be coming home soon -- another reason to get my own place asap). It is just going to be Chloe and me. I can't wait for Chloe to come home.

However, in the meantime, I would like to work from home or locally. I am looking into working remotely  from home doing technical support for companies willing to allow people to do work from home, and/or choosing from among various local positions in newspapers, marketing positions, computer technical support,  maintenance and cleanup, tutoring, etc.

To accomplish all this, I will need to come up with funds for first month's rent in the $350 to $450 / month range (I hope), and a security deposit likely equivalent to the rent. I may need to get some appliances or not, deposit on Time Warner Cable Internet, and other utilities. Total needed there, unknown.

When I moved here, I had to park my '97 Honda as it didn't want to go any further. It had nearly 300,000 miles on it.

As an answer to that, I will need to get the new to me  2000 Dodge Neon that needs the title put in my name and registered. That will cost about $80 for the title change to Virginia, and $45 for the registration.

Then be able to make the trip back to Dendron to get furniture, etc. No idea how much gas and/or truck that will cost. Plus other costs that will occur to get curtains, food, etc.

There is so much to do when you are moving to a new area and your business is only partly remote which makes fulltime income a real challenge.

NOTE: Someone I do not know recently posted as though they knew me and asked about the sale of my business and home.
If you saw that comment, I have deleted it. I have not sold my business or my home. My business via remote appointments, and thanks to a few folks who have had faith in me to work on their computers here in this area, have been a blessing and help me to pay the absolutely necessary bills to keep my business afloat and help out at my sister's house till I get a job and home on my own here.
I do not plan to sell my home. This was a legacy from my hubby that we bought together and I will go back there one day, but with the grief and mourning of my hubby, I just can't be there right now.
Plus, my Mother is not well and we do not know how much longer she will be with us, after losing my Dad in 2005 and Jim in December 2014, I want to be near her to help with her care and be with her and my family here.

Any help to get closer to these goals would be a wonderful thing and greatly appreciated.
