Support for cancer

I want to start off by saying WOW, what a journey. My best friend has been walking a walk with steps that I am unsure of how I would taken. I am unsure how I would have endured all that she has been through even to this point without adding anything extra and I’m unsure if I would have had as much faith as she has. Four years ago she separated from her husband which ended in divorce and has been going through a custody battle ever since then. She has had disappointment after disappointment but still managed to keep going with a positive attitude. It’s been four years and she is still fighting for her daughter. I’m sure all that know her, may have heard about her battle for custody at some point or another. Maybe even have heard about the struggles she has had with employment during this time. Although we may not always know the reason or we may not understand we continue to believe that Jesus is a faithful Lord and we know that he has a purpose for all of this. My best friend was diagnosed with stage 2 colorectal cancer about a month ago and has started a treatment plan. She has started with chemo therapy to hopefully shrink the tumor and then will have surgery to remove it. After surgery she will again have chemo therapy. We are praying that no radiation will be needed but that is to be determined. We hope and pray that she will be cured quickly and will have minimal side effects during her treatment. I think about Job, and all that he went through and i have to be reminded that even with this diagnosis, we believe that God is going to use this for good. We serve a good good Father and I know that all of what she is going through will be made for good. We found out today that she will not be able to return to work. Cheri is a fighter and she will not give up, but I am asking for some help for her. We know that she will make it through all of this, however some added support would be appreciated. She is now unable to work and will most likely have to wait until her cancer is in remission before applying for employment again. On top of rent and regular bills, we need to make sure she stays nourished as the doctors stated that she needs to try to keep her weight up. This will be another chapter of her journey but it will also be her testimony that when you put your faith in the Lord that he will provide and do miracles. For people that may not know Cheri, she is the most genuine and faithful person I know. I look to her for inspiration in my own life and hope that some of her values and strengths rub off on me :) Any help you can give will be appreciated and used for GOOD. On top of financial support, what we need the most is PRAYER. Please, anyone reading this, if you can say a prayer for Cheri, prayer has the power to heal. We just ask for prayer that Cheri remains walking in faith and opens her heart, that she is ready and expectant for the Lords plan to be fulfilled in her life. That she will prosper, have strength and healing and hope for her amazing future. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
