Shoulder Surgery for SVABL Pitcher

Donation protected
Baseball is a tough sport. It takes a toll on the body, for any player.

Last week it took a horrifying toll on Left Coast LumberJaxx pitcher, Greg Thompson Jr.

On Sunday, June 1st, Greg was on the mound, pitching, and pitching well. Then, as he was going through his wind up and throwing motion, his humerus bone (connecting the shoulder and arm) SNAPPED, making a sound that will never be forgotten by those players, coaches, umpries, and fans at Lincoln High School that day. It was followed by deafening screaming as Greg dropped to the ground, his arm twisted and unable to move.

Greg went through necessary surgery and was billed $5,000, with insurance.

Please, let's make an effort to help him through this. It could have happened to any one of us.

Any amount helps. Please donate here right now and share this with teammates in the Sillicon Valley Adult Baseball League, and any other compassionate human being or baseball lover.
