This is Flyball

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to check out our crowdfunding page. What do a writer, a tire salesman, and a retired data entry clerk have in common? The answer is: they are all captains of flyball teams. That’s right: we’re making a film about flyball. Actually, we’re creating the first full feature-length documentary on the sport of flyball. Now, we know what you’re thinking: why did you pick such a popular and money rich sport to make a film about? They must be rolling in piles of cash! Yes, we know it’s an obscure subject and that the sport doesn’t have a ton of money behind it. But, when we found out there was a team sport for dogs where they ran full blast down a track until they smashed into a box then ran back towards their owner with the kind of ferocity usually reserved for race horses we took notice. Then we decided to make a film about it. Some people ask why in life, we ask: why not? We take you into the world of flyball and into the world of three teams as they compete to win the Super Bowl of Flyball: the CanAm Classic. We’re riding shotgun in a car guided by humble team captains like Margaret, Flippy & Ratty, and Carl. You wouldn’t know it by watching them, but one of those people is a New York Times bestselling author. This is the world of flyball.
