For many seasons, Warriors football has leased or subleased War Memorial Field. In January, Powhatan Soccer Association became the sole leaseholder. Since the Warriors had used the field for so long, it had become “off season” storage for our larger and more difficult to move equipment. With the change in leaseholder, we requested and were granted permission from the PSA president to continue to store our equipment to the side of the field during the offseason.
When we went to move the equipment to our new practice location and when we arrived to pick it up, the equipment was no longer at War Memorial Field. PSA is unaware of its location as well. We are currently missing a 5 man sled, 2 single man sleds, a chute, and the ropes course. For the association to repurchase this equipment would cost in the neighborhood of $10,000.
Many people have been asking us how they can help. If you would consider a donation to help us with the costs of replacing equipment, we would be so appreciative. As a non-profit, we are all volunteers and all monies we receive go directly back into the organization and getting the very best equipment that we can afford.
