They have earned a spot at the Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Championships 2014. Will you help send them there?
The Amity Pee Wee Cheerleaders, aged 9-12, have put in many hours of practice and training throughout the season. Competitive cheerleading requires determination, strength and teamwork. It involves core strength, conditioning, endurance, tumbling, coordination, stunting, cheering, dancing and lots and lots of practice. They sweat, they cry and get bruises, they get knocked over, they fall down, but they always get back up. With their strong mind-set to achieve their goal, the girls come to practice with smile on their faces. Their goal is to WIN, and they have been successful, reigning undefeated as the:
* Southern CT Champions
* Grand Town Champion (for the first time in Amity Pop Warner history!)
* Connecticut State Champions ( Where they also won the 2014 Spirit Award for their enthusiastic support of all of their competitors, which illustrates what big hearts these girls have.)
* New England Region Champions
And it’s not over! As New England Region Champions, the Amity Pop Warner Cheerleaders have earned a spot to compete at the National Championships at Disney World in December. Going to the National Championship and bringing the title trophy back to Amity has been their dream and motivation from Day 1. The girls are so close to achieving that goal, but we need help. Please contribute to a fund that will help pay down the expense for the trip to the National Championships. Help support our girls. This is such an amazing opportunity for them. They have learned how hard work and perserverence can be so rewarding. They are talented, hard-working young athletes. The memories will last a lifetime.
