A Fighter, A Hero, My Father

In 2011 my father and I were both diagnosed with cancer around the same time. From day one, this man, my father has fought tooth and nail to not just do better but be better. After he has had a mastectomy as well as a surgery to remove a golf ball-size tumor from his brain, and has undergone chemotherapy and radiation which has until this time held back the progression of the cancer, we have recently found out that his treatments are no longer effective.

Male breast cancer is not a myth. After years of battling stage 4 breast cancer, my father may not be with us for much longer. Although we do all that we can to help, we are not able to control the financial burden alone.
He has numerous medical bills outstanding due to his current treatments and past surgeries. He is a proud man and has a hard time asking for help.

This time of year is hard since on August 25th he will turn 52, September brings the birthdays of two of his grandchildren and November marks the 2-year anniversary of his older sister's death from the same battle with this same disease.
