I never in my life thought I'd have to ask for money from strangers on the internet but here I am.
My name is Amie Fuentes and I'm a daughter to two of the most hardworking and caring people in the world. Until neither of them could work anymore. I'm just their daughter and I can't convey how both my mom and dad are feeling at this time but I can tell you what I've seen both of them cry over in the past week.
My mom has MS and it's gotten to the point where it seems like everything is just getting worse. The above picture is ONLY her amount. And of course I inherited my parents humble gene because I could never ask for that amount of money and then some. We're struggling just for her care and this doesn't include anything else. Her medication is expensive, her hospital bills are outrageous and I can't watch my mom feel guilty about going to the hospital because she knows if she does relapse, it'll only add to our problem. This is a nightmare.
My dad is older and instead of retiring peacefully like most people, it's been a complete hell. He was laid off in 1996 and was promised many opportunies after that but it's now 2015 and he's now on social security disability for having asbestos in his lungs. His mother (and my grandmother) is in a nursing home and we can't afford her being in jepaordy of being kicked out. We have a one floor house that's falling apart and is too small for our family that my dad can't do anything about.
We haven't paid our full taxes in 6 years. We make payments if we can and hope that we won't be kicked out. None of our bills have been paid in full since the beginning of the year. We've contacted the companies and worked out whatever we possibly could but people want their money and people also hate waiting.
We don't have food in our fridge and food pantries are very slim and don't offer any kind of actual nutrition. We still continue to go to food pantries and get what we can but if you donate, please know that it's going to help feed us as well as everything else.
This isn't about me and I'm doing this because my parents mean the world to me and as their daughter, I'm currently a student attempting to get my dipolma and graduation means college. With the lack of gas to get back and forth from school, this makes it extremely difficult for everyone, especially me. I'm in the misdt of applying to colleges so that I can follow my dreams because honestly, that's all my parents want me to do.
I want my mom and my dad to both be alleviated of the biggest portion of their stress. We're bankrupt and we need your help. We know that you may be struggling and can't afford to help and it's okay, sharing the link to our page would be just as appreciated.
