I love film. It's really that simple.
I love taking the lid off a box of photographs and thumbing through them, reading the date and captions on the back. I love the feeling of holding a print in my hand or a slide up to the light. The way photographs are passed down through generations along with the memories that accompany them. There is something so precious and so meaningful in a stack of photographs, or a carousel full of slides, the way something tactile can take you back to a moment in time, or even place you in that moment of someone else's life. It is real.
I want to share my love of film and my experience with both archiving (through digitization) and restoring film photographs and film negatives with those who need the service provided to them. I will provide the same care and concern and attention to detail to archiving a client's family or personal memories that I do to my own work.
I have been shooting and exhibiting my film photographs actively since 1998. I collect vintage film cameras in addition to photographs and slides. I know from experience that it does not take long for prints to fade, negatives to get scratched, or slides to deteriorate. It is imporant to preserve those images before they are gone. And it is paramount to have someone honest, trustworthy, and professional provide said service.
Whether it is a roll of film you just shot or a family's stack of slide carousels that has been stored away for decades, I'm commited to making those images last.
I will:
*digitally archive film negatives, film slides, and photographic prints
*provide color, scratch, or damage restoration on film negatives, film slides, and photographic prints
*be a caring and experienced alternative to "sending it off to the lab". Clients will communicate directly with the person who is handling their priceless images. I am fully accountable for the service I provide and am honored to provide said service
*offer a fair turnaround time based on the size of the job
*take on any size job
*maintain a unique and personal relationship with all clients inspired by the unique and personal nature of the service provided
*assist in the relocation and/or preservation of unwanted film photography cameras and equipment, photographs or negatives from clients if desired

*establish web presence and marketing
*secure necessary lab equipment
*begin working immediately for new and existing clients
