Fall Alternative Break is an annual service trip where 30 students from Butler University travel to Appalachia in order to work closely with communities and families in need and learn more about the issues that affect this region; particularly affordable housing.
FAB is about striving to become the best people and citizens we can be. We emphasize the importance of education alongside the volunteer work we do. Spending time talking to, and learning from, the people we are fortunate enough to meet along the way is a highlight of this transformational experience.
We could really use your assistance with this effort. If you could join us by helping to defray our expenses (food, lodging, transportation and materials), we would greatly appreciate any amount you can spare. It will truly make a difference in someone's life. Last year our average donation was just $20, but it made a huge impact on the citizens of Jonesville, Virginia when we worked to build retention walls in order to keep their homes stable and safe.
