In Memory of Jill Buck, O.D.

On behalf of the Buck family, The Indiana University School of Optometry Class of 1998 is asking for donations for school and other future expenses for Jill's surviving children.

Our hearts are broken and cannot believe our friend, classmate and fellow optometrist is no longer with us.

On July 24, 2015, Jill Buck, O.D. and her two youngest children - Branson (10) and Aidan (8) were tragically killed in a multi vehicle accident on I-65 near Lafayette, Indiana.  They were returning home from visiting Jill's husband, Paul, in Chicago, where he was away on business.

Paul and the three teenage children, Grace (University of Indianapolis),  Olivia (Center Grove High School) and P.J. (Center Grove High School) now have to live their lives without the love and support of Jill, and the happiness that Branson and Aidan brought them on a daily basis.

We viewed Jill as our class  "superwoman".  During her first few years at Indiana University School of Optometry she was married, had a baby (Grace) and endured a 2-hour daily round trip commute for 4 years.  She continued through school and became a well respected optometrist in Greenwood, Indiana  with a passion for providing eye care to the underprivileged and underinsured through HealthNet Services.

We know Jill would have wanted her children to follow their dreams and embark on fulfilling college careers, becoming prosperous adults in the future.

We are hoping to raise funds for immediate expenses as well as future expenses related to their educations.
