The Jabeir Jemmie Scholarship Fund (JJF) was created to honour Jabeir, and to accomplish what he valued and cherished most: serving his community. Jabeir was taken from us way too soon but his memory will live on forever. Jabeir’s smile was known to light up a whole room, and to many was described as a role-model especially towards his younger siblings. Jabeir was a family person who loved his family and all of his friends. His love for his community was both admirable and unforgettable. Jabeir was a son, a friend, and an amazing older brother who has touched many lives. The Jabeir Jemmie Scholarship Fund will be awarded to a high school graduate who is wanting to pursue higher education that is residing in the Ontario and or surrounding area(s). Let us grant another deserving student an opportunity to pursue their own dreams and provide hope! We are hoping to reach our goal, and are hoping to extend the scholarship to two people.
Our parents have left our homeland to give their children a better opportunity, and this journey has not been an easy one. Our parents struggles, tears and ambition to provide a better tomorrow has been implanted in all of us. Many youth aspire to go to school, but cannot simply afford to. This fund was set up so that an individual could be granted a good start to get an education. Knowledge is power and I am hoping that we can all come together and help inspire one another because that is what community is all about. Jabeir was pursuing his education but was unable to complete his studies because God has taken him home. We thank you for your time, and for stoping by.
