Jethro's Medical Fund
Donation protected
I'm here for my dear buddy Jethro. We adopted him from a shelter a year ago, and he has become such a joy and cherished member of our little family.
Earlier this year on the kitchen chalkboard I wrote "Sign up for pet insurance" on the task list. Then my husband lost his job. Having an extra monthly expense got put on the back burner. And, of course, when you don't have something, that's when you need it the most.
A month ago, a boo boo appeared on Jethro's back. We thought he got poked running through the bushes in the yard. Then more boo boos appeared. The vet diagnosed a bacterial infection. After a few days, Jethro had a fever and his eyes were swollen and goopy. The bacterial infection triggered a dormant fungal infection. It will take three months for the fungal infection to heal.
After many vet visits over the last month, we find ourselves with almost $2,000 worth of credit card debt. Jethro will need two more refills of his anti-viral medication at $500(!) a bottle to fully recover. He will also need more tests and vet visits.
Your help is appreciated more than you will ever know. Jethro means the world to me and my husband. If you donate $60 or more, I will gratefully send you a hand made sock monkey of my creation as a thank you. Or more than one if you like. All you have to do is ask.
All donations are for Jethro, not for a scam trip to Aruba or some fancy duds. Just our little buddy's health and well being. Thank you.
