Supporting Birmingham Restaurants’ Servers, During Shutdown

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, Jefferson County, Alabama restaurants, bars, and breweries cannot allow the consumption of food or beverages on their premises for one week. 

In addition to ordering takeout and buying gift certificates at Birmingham area restaurants during the shut down, please donate what you would have tipped staff in these restaurants during this week, or donate more if you are able. These are the men and women who greet you with a smile, make sure your glass is never empty, check to see if your steak was cooked to order… And now they need us to serve them. 

I you would like to choose your specific favorite restaurant(s) for your donation, indicate with a comment which restaurant or restaurants’ staff you would like for your funds to help from the following list of member restaurants.
