The Fort boxing club Marathon 22nd July 2023

The Fort boxing club is a self-funded unprofitable community boxing club. Throughout the year the club has had difficult times with the closure of our old gym and the reduced hours of training making it difficult for us to train.

The good news is we have found a new venue to move into later this year in Whitchurch giving us a full time boxing gym.

Unfortunately due to the amount of funding required to secure the new venue it has left the club with insufficient funds for us to purchase new boxing gloves, head guards, skipping ropes, boxing bags, mirrors and

Fitness equipment etc.

For us as a team to make this possible I will be running a marathon from Whitchurch to Ellesmere and back via the canal.

The Fort boxing club team will be joining me throughout different segments of the route with a mixture of distances to challenge each individuals fitness levels.

Ages 5 to 16.
