Emily Rea has been missing since Tuesday 7/16, when she went to the Hungry Horse Reservoir in Flathead County, MT to go paddle boarding.
While the Search And Rescue (SAR) crews and community support have been truly astonishing, the scope and intensity of the search are expanding and so are the expenses with them.
We are raising money to support the continuing mission to bring Emily home.
Below is a list of how we anticipate using these funds:
- Food & hydration for the search teams, most of whom are volunteers
- Transportation for Emily’s family and critical support team
- Communication devices and technology for an extensive search area with no cell phone service
- A media campaign to maximize awareness of Emily’s Missing Person case and how to get in touch with the appropriate authorities
- Temporary accommodations for essential personnel
- On-site support for Emily’s family
- Expenses for ancillary experts to assist in the on-going search and rescue effort
- Deep-water search equipment

I am in close contact with Emily’s parents and the local friends involved in the SAR mission. These funds will go directly to that effort via a tracked budget and treasurer.
