My 14-year-old daughter Stella was in a devastating scooter vs truck accident last Friday. She is currently in critical condition at John’s Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg and remains unconscious. Stella suffered a severe brain injury, a broken leg, cracked pelvis, a bruised lung, an injured liver, and countless bruises and abrasions. The road ahead for her recovery will be long and difficult, and our family is doing everything we can to support her every step of the way.
Stella’s hospital is two hours from our home in Cape Coral, and she will likely be there for up to two months. This means our family faces daily travel, lodging, and meal expenses on top of the emotional and financial strain of her injuries. Every contribution will help us stay by Stella’s side and focus on her healing, rather than worrying about how we’ll manage these extra costs.
The outpouring of kindness and support during this terrible time for our family has been beyond any words I can even think of. There really aren’t any words big enough. The kind words and prayers from our community and beyond have filled my heart completely. If you are able to donate or share our story, it would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping us support Stella on her journey to recovery.
