Our brother, FDNY Firefighter Santiago Ruiz, recently suffered a brain aneurysm after completing a tour of duty in the Bronx. His condition required immediate medical attention and emergency surgery.

Santiago and his family now face a long road to recovery.

Santiago is not only a dedicated firefighter but also a loving father, caring son and friend. As he begins his long journey toward recovery, Santiago and his family are facing the emotional and financial challenges that come with such a life-changing event.

Our goal is simple: to ease the financial burden on Santiago and his family so they can focus on what matters most — his health, recovery, and being together.

The FDNY is more than a job; it’s a family. We stand beside one another through the good times and, more importantly, through the difficult ones.
