When cancer strikes a family, it is devastating. When it strikes twice in 16 months, it is truly life altering.
Danielle, a 39 year old, devoted wife and mother of three boys, was diagnosed with AML leukemia in September 2024 while already battling complications from Multiple Sclerosis. Over the course of a grueling year, she endured intensive treatments including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, & immunotherapy— ultimately receiving a life saving bone marrow transplant from her sister, who was a perfect match. She is also part of a medical research study to help researchers find better treatments and a cure. Today, Danielle is slowly regaining her strength and beginning the long journey of rebuilding her life and being cancer free.
Just as the family began to find their footing again, they were faced with another unimaginable blow. In January 2026, Danielle’s middle son, Kyle, 17- years old, was diagnosed with APL leukemia. He was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where he is now undergoing treatment for this rare and aggressive blood cancer.
These diagnosis’s have brought overwhelming emotional strain, along with significant medical and related expenses. We have created this GoFundMe to help support the Lautenbacher family so they can focus on what matters most— treatment, healing, and being together during this incredibly difficult time.
No amount is too small, and every donation is deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers.
