Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers -

Our beloved dog Abbie is sick, and we need your help to give her the best quality of life by giving her the best medical care possible.

We rescued our Abbie over 7 years ago - she was matted, covered in ticks, and scared of the world. We were her third home. At first, she was hesitant to trust. But little by little, she blossomed into THE most joyful, sweet, adventurous, and loving girl.

She may be small, but she’s got spunk!! Abbie has hiked hundreds of miles, camped with us under the stars with us (she's even seen the northern lights!!). She's our baby, our best friend, and the soul of our little family. She brings joy and love to the small, mundane moments of life. (We literally can’t open a jar of peanut butter without hearing her little paws padding across the floor to come share a bite!) She's been there through all of life’s challenges and triumphs.

A few weeks ago, we noticed her tummy looked strangely shaped, so we brought her to the vet and the news hit us like a freight train:

She has two tumors in her abdomen, one of them very large life threatening if not removed. So far, it doesn't appear to have metastasized, which gives us some hope - but the tumors are serious and will require surgery to give her a chance at more, joyful years with us.

She has now undergone bloodwork, chest X-rays, an ultrasound, and a CT scan.

So far, we have spent $7,000 on diagnostics alone. Her surgery at VCA (scheduled for 8/13) on the low end is quoted us $16,000 for this complicated surgery. This does not include follow-up care, medications, or potential alternative therapies. These costs are overwhelming, but we will do anything to help our girl!
