After months of union organizing efforts at both locations, Real You Electrolysis workers were informed at the same time as patients that RYE will be closing its doors on July 24th, only one week out.

We know this is a shock for our community, but we want patients to know we are not abandoning you. Every single worker at RYE is committed to providing the care our patients need at the level they deserve.

The current and previous workers at Real You Electrolysis are organizing together as the Gender-Affirming Care Workers Alliance (GACWA) under IWW 610 to pursue a path forward to creating a successful worker cooperative that fills the hole RYE is leaving behind.

The funds raised here will be used to create stability for the workers impacted by RYE's sudden closure, as well as pave the way forward for a new worker cooperative for gender-affirming care by providers from the community.

RYE may be closing its doors, but the workers are not turning their backs on you. We do need this support, though, if we want to make this happen.
