The 60 year old mural, was previously located in the now demolished Yorba Linda Public Library. It was painted by artist Allan B. Hall in memory of 9 year old Robin Paul. The mural has been removed from its original location, and is in temporary storage while waiting to be professionally restored and relocated to it's new home. The Caduceus Medical Group has graciously offered to provide a location for the mural so it can remain in Yorba Linda.
Caduceus was recognized by the YLAAF "Business for the Arts" award, for their involvement in supporting community arts.
A coalition was formed, made up of organizations and individuals including the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance Foundation, the Yorba Linda Historical Society, the Yorba Linda Preservation Foundation , the Yorba Linda Public Library, and Dean Hall, the artist's son. This team is dedicated to preserving and protecting this historic art piece.
We are asking for your help to raise the necessary funding for the professional restoration process. The project will take up to a year to complete. Ultimately, it will be restored and displayed as not only a local artistic treasure honoring a family’s generosity, but also an historical account relating to all of Orange County.
The mural's new home will be in the Yorba Linda Art Gallery, located at 18200 Yorba Linda Blvd, suite 250, Yorba Linda, Ca 92886, in the Packing House at Caduceus Family Medicine. It curated by the Yorba Linda Arts Alliance Foundation, through the generosity of Caduceus Medical Group.
A facsimile of the mural, along with additional artwork is on display at the Yorba Linda Art Gallery. The artwork is for sale, and proceeds will be applied toward the restoration.
The Gallery is also currently showcasing the Inaugural Juried Art Exhibit, open to the public from 8:30am to 5pm Monday through Friday.
100% of the funds raised will go towards the restoration of this mural, and your donation, in any amount, is greatly appreciated. Our goal is to protect this historical art piece for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
