Anthony, Jenny and Purity

Hi, my name is Julia Ogdin-Gubbins. Some of you may have seen Anthony and his family around Terang and District.

Anthony was from Vanuatu and was the doting father to 10 month old Purity and loving partner of Jenny.

Sadly and without warning, on Friday morning, Anthony suffered an acute medical emergency and passed away aged just 30.

Jenny and Purity are still in shock and are trying to navigate the implications of this tragedy.

As Anthony was a National of Vanuatu, his family’s wishes are to repatriate him back to his village for burial. This process will occur through the Consulate at a cost of over $10,000.

Jenny and Purity have no savings to speak of. In fact, there have been times where they have relied on the generosity of our town for accommodation and food.

It is going to be a long haul but if any community can assist Jenny and Purity through this tragedy, we know it’s ours!

We are hoping to raise enough to get Anthony home for burial and enough to support Jenny and Purity to access some independent accommodation.
