Fire!
Sunday NIght, March 15, 2015 my Son came running into my bedroom yelling Smoke, Smoke! I thought he was a little crazy....but unfortunately, he wasn't! There was smoke in the air, but I still wasn't that concerned...until after I threw on a robe and slippers, still thinking that it wasn't that big of a deal....I opened my bedroom door to FLAMES shooting up thru the Cold Air vent that was right outside of the door! I basically ran through the flames, headed for the front door, which didn't want to open...due to the fire....and finally managed to get out of the house....My Son and his Mother were both able to manage to get out rather quickly, and it was a good thing! The Firemen that came to the house said that in 30-60 more seconds the smoke would have actually killed us! It's something that I never really thought about, but the Fire doesn't really kill you, most people that die, do so from SMOKE inhalation...and then get burned....
At any rate we were fortunate to get out of the house...the House itself, wasn't that lucky! DiAnna's room was totally devastated....she lost everythng she had....the Fire originated in the Basement, damging the Flooing to the Main Floor...and the Smoke Damage was incredible! The house has been condemned, and as Bad Luck would have it....we were uninusred....basically all of the furniture, appliances, clothes, and just about everything else is pretty much useless....including TV's, computers, and most anything else electronic...So, here we are, harldy any clothes, no place to live...and since I worked at home...no place to work either! Pretty grim situation....and money is scarce!
Thankfully, the Red Cross has put us up in a Motel for three nights....but after that, we're on our own...and you know how hard it is to find a place to live with some time, not just two days! To add insult to injury, my Son, who literally saved our lives, he injured his ankle and wrist getting out of the house....
Being Very short of Money and Time, any help would be more than appreciated....We, Rod, Dianna, and Brian Thank You for any support you are able to give us!
THANK YOU!

P.S. When it Rains, It Pours! While looking for another residence this afternoon...a young man T-Boned my CAR! Totaled it, For Sure!
