Ride for Jake
Donation protected
This is Jake...Jake along with his twin brother was born at 24 weeks, he was critically ill, unfortunately his twin brother passed away. Jake has been under GOSH and has had various operations including a tracheostomy which he recently has had removed.
Jake, now almost 11 years old has recently been diagnosed with Pectus carinatum which is a rare chest wall deformity that causes the breast bone to push outwards instead of being flush against the chest.
Jake is in agony most days and nights. This restricts breathing when exercising and can cause breathlessness, Jake is already restricted to what he can do because of his chronic lung disease.
Jake's mum Emma has been advised by GOSH that private treatment is the only option and that there is no NHS funding. Myself and my sister have decided to Ride for Jake. This involved cycling from Thundridge, Hertfordshire to GOSH, London. This is approximately 30 miles. We will be cycling on Saturday 22nd February 2020 to help fund for the private treatment.
Any donations and support are greatly appreciated.
Lots of Love
