Memorial Flight Scholarship Fund
The FIRST EVER full commercial pilot scholarship in the history of Honduras.
Captain Patrick Daniel Forseth at the age of 32 was killed in a plane crash off of the coast of Roatan, Honduras. In Patrick's memory we would like to set up a professional flight scholarship fund to award an aspiring pilot their wings. This will include a Private license, Commercial license, and Instrument rating on a Cessna152.
Patrick was an immensely loved and respected "larger than life" pilot and friend to many. He left a positive mark in people absolutely everywhere that he went with his engaging signature laughter, compassion, and kindness. All those who know Patrick have a story of how their lives improved because of him, both personally and professionally.
100% of this fund is to financially support an aspiring pilot to attend the professional flight training program offered at Horizontes. We are optimistic that we may surpass our goal of 22,000 and also award a deserving candidate an additional
$6000 scholarship for a multi-engine airplane rating, which will further improve this pilot’s qualifications in the job market. Horizontes is internationally recognized as the best Flight School in Central America and known for their high degree of professionalism and knowledge. Patrick was closely involved with this flight school and was a great supporter and mentor of their new pilots. Horizontes Professional Flight School of Honduras
Patrick Daniel Forseth shared a vision with a group of Honduran entrepreneurs whose great desire is to bring about a renewed and prosperous Honduras. This was to be accomplished without violence and corruption, but with education, unity, and the sharing of resources of a new generation of visionaries.
The success of the fundraising goal set in “Patrick’s Wings” would result in the FIRST FULL AVIATION SCHOLARSHIP in the history of Honduras. Awarding this scholarship would be realizing part of Patrick's shared vision for a new Honduras.
Thank you for your consideration in supporting this meaningful cause.
