Support the Lopez Family
Donation protected
The community of Lazear Charter Academy is suffering the devastating loss of two of its students, Ezequias Lopez in first grade and Nixon Lopez in sixth grade. On the evening of August 16th, the brothers were killed in a car accident on International Blvd while riding with their mother, Magda Ovallez.
Ezequias and Nixon were sweet, funny, and caring students who brought smiles to the faces of their friends and the staff at Lazear. We are deeply saddened by the loss of these students whose bright futures were taken much too soon. We can only imagine the pain felt by the Lopez family during this time, and our deepest love and sympathy goes out to them.
Lazear has created this account on behalf of the family to assist with funeral expenses for the boys as well as to help with the medical expenses of the boy's mother, who also suffered injuries in the accident. Any donations are greatly appreciated in support of the Lopez family. The sorrow felt from such a tragedy will take a long time to ease, and Ezequias and Nixon will never be forgotten, but we hope that the funds raised will alleviate some of the financial burden on the family so they can instead focus on their healing.
