Project Gee Launch

Hi my name is Brooke Smith and I am the founder of Project Gee.  Project Gee is my way to show kids how to do goodwill.  I got the name from my stuffed bunny who I’ve had since I was a baby.  We started Project Gee early last year after I volunteered with my mom and dad at Ronald McDonald House early 2018.  I got to clean the whole play room for the sick children that day. I left there excited to do something to help these children.  Later in the spring when we started going to the park I kept seeing trash on the ground and wanted to clean the parks.  So today Project Gee supports the Ronald McDonald House and our community parks.

Our event that we need the most support and your kind donations for is our Care bag making event.  We prepare bags with special customized messages and drawings made by our volunteers and then we stuff the bags with individual size snacks and travel size toiletries for families that are staying away from their homes to support their child in getting the best treatment possible.   These bags are then delivered to the RMH houses.  Last year, in 2019, we made over 300 bags for all of the families and hope to continue to grow to ensure all families receive one of our care bags during their stay at RMH.

Thank you for your continued support to help us as we grow!
