Piddlehinton Gym - New Roof Fund

Donation protected
Piddlehinton Gym is a charity-run, community sports facility located in the Piddle Valley, Dorset.
The gym is used by approximately 230 people, spread over 10 organisations and offer nine different sporting activities. These include badminton, junior tennis, archery, table tennis, RC car racing, drama, 5-a-side football and fitness classes. With other additional sports being added in the future.

The main hall is an old WW2 building that was converted into a community sports facility in the 1950's.
The building is in good repair, with the charity (a group of local volunteers) responsible for maintaining and improving the facility.

However, in recent years, the roof has become beyond repair. Water leaks are increasingly common, with the structure no longer being safe to patch. Due to the increasing water leaks, the gym will be forced to close in 2023, should funding not be sourced and the roof not replaced.

Due to the roof's size and the investment's value, the charity cannot cover the costs ourselves. We are now seeking kind public donations, alongside council backing, local business donations, and sporting grants.

The gym is a vital part of the local community, so with your help we can ensure it will continue to provide many more years of service to West Dorset.
