Philadelphia Negro Leagues Museum Exhibit

Donation protected
Carolyn Quick, a graduate of the University of the Arts & Brian Michael, founder of Phillies Nation and co-owner of Shibe Sports, are raising money to produce a museum exhibit on the Philadelphia Negro Leagues. The exhibit will be hosted at Camden County College in Cherry Hill, NJ from February 1 to May 20, 2024. The goal is to honor the many trailblazers of baseball in Philadelphia and South Jersey who overcame nearly insurmountable obstacles to play the sport they loved at its highest level.

Our exhibition - entitled A League Apart - showcases the importance of breaking barriers through the stories of the Philadelphia Negro Leagues and their ongoing legacy. Using memorabilia, stories from the past, and the audio baseball is known for, A League Apart focuses on the players who stepped up to the plate to change the biases and traditions of baseball.

Throughout our exhibit, visitors will be encouraged to interact and discover the barrier breakers throughout pivotal moments in baseball’s history. Barrier Breakers include Octavius V. Catto, Ed Bolden, Richard "Dick" Allen, and Mo'ne Davis.

We’re looking to expand for Phase 2 - please consider sponsoring these interactive displays!

$25,000 - Video trivia wall
Interactive display with a screen that asks trivia questions related to the exhibit and allows visitors to select answers and round the bases. Additionally, the wall would also show videos when not in use.

$10,000 - Third side of the card

$2,500 - Dugout bat rack
Sponsored bat rack to showcase memorabilia and photos and replica bats.

$1,500 - Series 2 baseball cards
