Pacaltsdorp Covid-19 Hunger Relief

Hi everybody.
I am Keenan Carelse, a Pacaltsdorper currently living abroad. My family lives in Hillcrest walk, Pacaltsdorp. Ek is n Noord strater .
As you all know Covid-19 has caused the South African economy to go into Lockdown. This is causing hardship for many families. As we have noticed across social media, many from the Pacaltsdorp community is also experiencing very hard times and some people have no food.
We have spoken with a local businessman who is helping the soup kitchens in their efforts to feed the most needy. He can help us procure good prices for staple items like rice and mealie meal. This is something that all soup kitchens can use and will help to ease their burden. Based on his estimates, as he is involved in his own capacity, a ball park figure of around R10 000 can sustain Pacaltsdorp soup kitchens with these items for about 2 weeks.
We dont have a particular charity to use for the donations, thus I will make my own bank details available.
We will share with all those who have donated:
1. Proof of money transferred to purchase items.
2. Quantities of Rice and Mealie Meal bought.
3. Soup kitchens which received aid and the quantities given to them.
The focus will be to help those in Pacaltsdorp, but if there is surplus and a need elsewhere we will ofcourse look to help as well.
Ek het nou baie Engels gepraat om seker te maak almal verstaan, maar ek reik uit na almal om asseblief diep te krap en kyk hoe ons die wat nie het nie kan help in die tyd. Om te deel is helemal deel van ons as Pacaltsdorpers se "upbringing". Ek hoop R10 000 is n pessimistiese doelwit en dat ons dat ver kan oorskry.
Ons vra eerstens Pacaltsdorpers wie soos ek in die buiteland bly om te help, maar voel vry om dit te deel met enigiemand wie dalk n bydra wil maak.
Ek moet ook noem, dat ons nie ons bydra op Facebook en social media gaan plaas nie. Ons soek nie enige erkenning vir dit nie. Net die good old fashioned manier van dinge doen uit n goeie hart, so ons gaan nie vra vir fotos ens as die items oorgehandig word nie.
