Eurasian Millfoil has become a serious problem in many Quebec lakes and is considered a threat to recreation, fish habitat, swimming, boating, biodiversity, and tourism. A 2019 study by COBALI confirms that the worst of it is in Newton Bay. The ABVPB has implemented a comprehensive strategic plan to control the spread of this nasty weed and has completed Phase 1. In Phase 2, we need to hire biologists and apply for permits to take further remedial action. Our goal of $2000 will help get us to the next step. Just $20 would be great, but $200 will get us a lot further! Please be generous and help us protect our beautiful lake.
